Ready, Jet Set, Go
After recently flying to Los Angeles from the East Coast with my husband (and a broken ankle), one can't help but notice the luxuries of flying have gone out the window for many airlines. . . except for JetBlue.
From the $2.00 curbside check-in to the wonderful leg room on the plane and the DIRECTTV and XM Radio, you can't help but love JetBlue for keeping it real and not going cheap in these hard times.
JetBlue has set the standard of flying in style that is tough for any airline today to beat.
I know that I will now fly JetBlue over any other airline (and trust me, my husband has tried them ALL).
This blog site is for everything PR and marketing related, plus little things here and there about my life.

Lush: A Refreshing and Eco-Friendly Way to Pamper Yourself

Lush has so many awesome products for both men and women and let's face it: Who doesn't enjoy taking a relaxing bath once in a while? All of their products are 100% natural and the best part is . . . they don't test on animals! From their relaxing bath and shower bombs to their line of lotions and face products, Lush is a great way to pamper yourself and treat your friends to a product that is eco-friendly and fun to use!
Since being introducted to the wonderful world of Lush, I have bought their bath bombs for friends and my husband even has his favorite bath bomb! (The Sakura bath bomb pictured above). Living in an era where many products are mass produced, all of Lush's products are made by hand which saves on money and spares the environment of any unnecessary pollution. Lush is a refreshing company that will be pampering our world for many years to come--one bath bomb at a time. To visit Lush, go to: www.lushusa.com

Are Tesla Cars the Answer to our Economy and Environmental Woes?

With environmental concerns growing by each day and the economy searching for endless ways to save money, a man developed a line of electric cars that are popular with celebrities driving down the PCH in Los Angeles but has yet to make it to the hands of everyday consumers. This roadster can go up to 300 miles on a 45 minute charge to a regular outlet in your home and can go up to a year without needing a oil change! This is very impressive and would save on pollution and hopefully save what's left of our ozone layer. However, these cars start at $49,000 which may be reasonable for celebrities but for everyday people? Not so much.
I do have to say that from a PR standpoint, this car is pure gold. There are so many ways to market this product but Tesla would have to start by lowering the price so it's affordable for everybody--and not just celebrities driving around LA going from club to club. One way the company is addressing this issue is by offering such perks as free parking, state tax credits, rebates, free sales-tax and other incentives to draw in more consumers. The company could also reach out to environmental groups to find new ways to make their cars more earth-friendly and also get backing of these groups who are so hard on companies that are not environmental friendly. The Tesla may be the breath of fresh air that we all need.

How to Maintain Fashion and Style with a Cast on your Leg

With the California sun on my heels in a matter of days, the last thing a person would expect is having to hobble around town with a cast on your foot. A hiking trip turning for the worst in a matter of seconds, I found myself lying on the ground with a throbbing ankle and a little Rat Terrier pulling at his leash, eagerly anticipating his next adventure. Now the question on my mind remains: How do I travel in style with a gaudy cast on my leg? Do I resort to workout pants and ugly shorts or do I accept this fashion challenge? I say that I will face this challenge head-on! Here are some tips for the injured who still want to maintain style:
- Avoid wearing tight clothes that might capitalize on your boo-boo. I know this may be hard to do, considering that all the clothes in my closet are not frumpy and baggy but Capri's pants for casts or even a cute Pancho for a broken arm might just do the trick
- Ditch the high heels in the closet and replace with comfortable but still stylish shoes. I own a pair of cute cotton candy pink ballet slippers that I think will be my savior when I'm hobbling around the airport
- You may be injured but you can still wear accessories! Just because you're in a slight deli ma doesn't mean that your cute gold bangles or your Juicy Couture necklace have to stay in your jewelry box. A little accessories just might brighten up your day and take your mind off of your bulky cast
When life throws you lemons your way, there's no reason why you can't make lemonade and still maintain your style.
My Special Elvis

Who would have imagined that a guinea pig would touch a person's life so deeply? Animals can bring peace in a troubled time and love in the smallest packages that you would least expect. Elvis Presley Turgeon may have only been in my life for six months but it was within those six months that he brought happiness, love and peace to my life when I needed it the most. He has been and always be my little angel. Always full of life, never letting anyone or anything get him down--he was always happy. Elvis taught me a valuable lesson about life that I will always take with me and never forget. I love you my little angel.
