Are Tesla Cars the Answer to our Economy and Environmental Woes?

With environmental concerns growing by each day and the economy searching for endless ways to save money, a man developed a line of electric cars that are popular with celebrities driving down the PCH in Los Angeles but has yet to make it to the hands of everyday consumers. This roadster can go up to 300 miles on a 45 minute charge to a regular outlet in your home and can go up to a year without needing a oil change! This is very impressive and would save on pollution and hopefully save what's left of our ozone layer. However, these cars start at $49,000 which may be reasonable for celebrities but for everyday people? Not so much.
I do have to say that from a PR standpoint, this car is pure gold. There are so many ways to market this product but Tesla would have to start by lowering the price so it's affordable for everybody--and not just celebrities driving around LA going from club to club. One way the company is addressing this issue is by offering such perks as free parking, state tax credits, rebates, free sales-tax and other incentives to draw in more consumers. The company could also reach out to environmental groups to find new ways to make their cars more earth-friendly and also get backing of these groups who are so hard on companies that are not environmental friendly. The Tesla may be the breath of fresh air that we all need.
